Last November, I experienced one of the finest moments of my life!

Launching a book is like birthing a child. The story grows within one’s private heart and then is out in the world for all to see. Hello!

My dear friend, artist Karen Guzak, offered her fantastic studio, a historic former church, and videographer AJ Soto and his photographer husband, Diego, were on hand to capture the electric mood. As my novel is set in Myanmar (Burma), I offered snacks and cocktails mentioned in the book. I also had a friend on hand helping people learn their Burmese zodiac. My husband and daughter set everything in place, and we threw open the doors, not knowing what to expect.

As people streamed in, I sat behind my book signing table, unable to keep up – what a pleasant surprise! I sat on a throne-like chair, reading from my book and answering questions for over an hour and a half. Then I signed and sold more books 😊 I’d fallen and broken my right elbow, but thankfully, I’m left-handed.

At the end of the evening, I drank a Johnny Walker Red whiskey soda (from the book) and wept with gratitude. I invite you to visit my author You Tube channel.
